Fred's Farm Supplies Inc. has been in operation since 1988   when a roaster was added to the existing farm.

Mattie, and I began cash crop farming in 1975. Having grown up on a dairy farm and working for a tile drain company, I have a solid background in agriculture. 
As well, during our cash cropping years, I have taken numerous related courses.

In 1992 a feed dealership for Agribrands Purina was established. At that time
the name “Fred’s Farm Supplies” was introduced. Through working with Purina, Fred’s Farm Supplies was able to "perfect" the roasting process and assist Purina in setting up their lab to do the PDI (protein digestibility index) test. In 1999, the roasting facility was rebuilt, the feed dealership and cash cropping were discontinued.

Since then Fred’s Farm Supplies roasts soybeans and steams corn and barley, as well as running elevator services (buying, selling, drying, and storing corn
and soybeans) with storage for 4250 tonnes.
